MAINTENANCE

Purpose - the structure of this table is largely "borrowed" from the AAR's TRAIN II specification and enhanced to accommodate monthly maintenance data to be received from other sources as well. The table contains information regarding car repairs, including car number, repairing railroad, repair location, costs for repair such as labor and materials, "whymade" repair codes and repair descriptions. Your system will provide an independent assessment of maintenance data provided by various sources, and allow the tracking of maintenance costs by lease, repair description or by repairing railroad.

Comprehensive reports currently include repairs by car, repairs by railroad, repairs by lessee and repair summaries. Further customization by Data Control and Management could involve functions to import Maintenance data received from your shops or other sources.
