Introduction
What is Transportation Control System For Windows?
Transportation Control System for Windows is a menu-driven database management program running under the Delphi relational database development environment. It is fully network capable and features record and file locking allowing more that one user to access data simultaneously. It is a modular program -- you choose only the modules that you need for your business, knowing that you can obtain additional modules as your needs change.
The purpose of Transportation Control System for Windows (TCSW) and the modifications made to the system for your company are to draw together a variety of systems and bring them under one management roof. CONTROL
Railcar and Fleet Profiles
- TCSW contains a database of pertinent car information in the Car Profile and Cumulative Profile database
tables, such as Lease and assignment, and start and end date information for car movements. The Lease
and Sublease
database tables provide on-line access to important information such as Lease start and end dates and
car series.
Bad
Order
data can be manually captured and the Bad Order table provides ready access to Bad Order/Repair history
and repair performance.
Customer
and Vendor
information is on-line and immediately available. You can
keep track of Customer Names, Account Numbers, titles Customer comments and Bill To information. A linked
Contacts table in CUSTOMER lets you keep multiple contact names and phone numbers.
Maintenance
data received from the AAR and other sources can be entered or imported
into the system so that detailed maintenance records can be referenced and audited. A host of maintenance
reports provide repair data grouped and summarized in a variety of ways.
UMLER
information includes car dimensions, weights and capacities
and provides a wealth of immediatlely accessible data concerning your entire fleet. Data can be entered
or imported from the AAR or other sources.
Management Reporting
- TCSW provides a menu-driven reporting system to output pre-defined reports using a flexible reporting
system. Ad-hoc reports containing subsets of data and filtered information can be created using TCSW's
powerful report writing facility for any of the tables in the system. You can link multiple tables with
the powerful TCSW Report Writer, as well as specify multiple filters for each field in the tables.

What Transportation Control System for Windows includes:
TCSW is designed for computer users at all levels of experience - from beginners to programmers. No programming is required to use the Transportation Control System itself. The Application is fully self-contained and completely menu and prompt driven.
However, casual computer users familiar with Spreadsheets or Word Processing programs can use the powerful Database Desktop or Paradox for Windows relational database with some training or study. TCSW tables can also be accessed by popular database programs such as Access.
The system can be further customized by Data Control and Management as well, to add new features or system enhancements.
